Part of a Total Skin Care Regimen

Like most women, I really care about my skin. After all, your skin is part of your outward appearance, and is perhaps one of the biggest indicators to your overall health.

Given that, I like to start with what I call the "inner-moisturizer". I drink lots of water throughout the day. Everyday. I also make sure I have sunscreen protection from the sun. This doesn't keep me away from the beach, I just make sure I shield my face with a hat, or sunscreen. This helps to prevent aging - and skin cancer.

Then, no matter how tired I am, every night I cleanse my skin and remove all makeup with a facial cleanser. I really like Dermalogica products, because they are alcohol-free and high quality. They are a bit pricey, but you only need to use a little at a time, so they last for quite a while.

For daily cleansing, I use Dermalogica's Special Cleansing Gel. At least twice a week, I scrub with Dermalogica's Skin Prep Scrub. This really works to remove dead skin and debris and leaves your skin very smooth.

I follow cleansing with a couple of sprays of Toner. This helps to hydrate your skin from the outside.

Then, Dermalogica Active Moist. Smooth skin is the key to how well your moisturizer works. When skin is extremely clean, the moisturizer can really get into the pores and do its job.

When your skin is healthy and glowing, you feel great and more confident to "face" the world!

I really do not understand all the hype concerning using moisturizers. It must be Venus thing. Aces to you on drinking H2O every day; your phraseology of "inner-moisturizer" is distinctive bringing a delicate beauty to it use.

Hi there! Thanks for the recommendation. I'm glad that you've also mentioned drinking water and putting on SPF; I usually forget my liquids and cheat my body of water. Thanks for answering my request! :D

Thanks for the comment, Elizabeth! I'll have to check out the skin map. For convenience, I've added the link.

Skin care is really important. Dermalogica.com offers a skin mapping system where you can enter in the type of skin you have as well as any problems you would like to clear up. It is a great tool to use. I used it and my skin cleared up right away!
